Transferring calls on my T33G Zoom Phone

Guide: Transferring a Call on the Yealink T33G (Zoom Phone)

Types of Call Transfers

The T33G allows three main types of call transfers:

  1. Blind Transfer – Instantly sends the call to another number or extension without speaking to the recipient.

  2. Consulted Transfer – Places the caller on hold while you speak to the recipient before completing the transfer.

  3. Transfer to Voicemail – Sends the caller directly to another user’s voicemail box.

Performing a Blind Transfer

Use this when you want to immediately forward a call to another extension.

  1. While on an active call, press the Transfer soft key.

  2. Select Blind Transfer (you may see it listed as “Blind” or “BXfer” on screen).

  3. Dial the extension, Zoom Phone number, or contact name.

  4. Press Send or Transfer again to complete the transfer.

  5. The call will now connect directly to the destination.

Performing a Consulted Transfer

Use this when you want to introduce the caller before transferring.

  1. While on the call, press the Transfer soft key.

  2. Select Consultative Transfer (or Consult).

  3. Dial the extension or number of the person you wish to speak with.

  4. Wait for them to answer and announce the caller.

  5. When ready, press Transfer again to complete the handoff.

If the recipient does not answer, press Cancel to return to your original caller.

Transferring Directly to Voicemail

To send a caller straight to voicemail:

  1. Press the Transfer key during the call.

  2. Dial the recipient’s extension followed by * (asterisk).

    • Example: To transfer to extension 203, dial 203*.

  3. Press Transfer or Send to complete.

  4. The caller will be routed directly to that user’s voicemail greeting.

Tips for Successful Transfers

  • Confirm the recipient’s extension or availability before transferring.

  • Use the Hold key if you need to gather more information before initiating a transfer.

  • If a transfer fails, press Resume to reconnect with the original caller.

  • You can also use the Directory or History keys to locate frequent contacts quickly.
