Guide: Transferring a Call on the Yealink T31G (Zoom Phone)
Types of Transfers
You can transfer a call in two ways:

Blind Transfer – Instantly sends the call to another number without speaking to the recipient.

Consulted Transfer – Places the caller on hold while you speak to the recipient before completing the transfer.
To Perform a Blind Transfer

While on the active call, press the Transfer soft key.

On the display, select Blind Transfer (you may see it labeled as “Blind” or “BXfer”).

Dial the extension, Zoom Phone number, or contact you wish to transfer to.

Press Send or the Transfer soft key again.

The call will immediately transfer to the selected destination.
To Perform a Consulted Transfer

While on the call, press the Transfer soft key.

Select Consultative Transfer (you may see it labeled as “Consult” or “Transfer”).

Dial the extension or number of the person you’d like to speak with.

Wait for them to answer — this allows you to announce the call.

When ready, press Transfer again to complete the handoff.
(If they don’t answer, press “Cancel” to return to the original caller.)
To Transfer Directly to Voicemail

Press the Transfer key during the call.

Dial *+ extension + *** (asterisk) before the number — for example, 101.

Press Send or Transfer to complete.
Tips for Smooth Transfers

Confirm the recipient’s extension or department before initiating the transfer.

Use the Hold key if you need to gather additional information before transferring.

If a transfer fails, you can press Resume to reconnect with your original caller.
