Catholic University offers a secure Remote-Access VPN service for faculty and staff who need to connect to campus systems while working off-site.
The VPN (Virtual Private Network) safely extends the campus network to your remote computer—whether you're at home or traveling—giving you access to the tools and services you’d normally use on campus. This helps protect University data while still keeping your workflow uninterrupted.
🔗 What You’ll Need
To work off-campus using VPN and Remote Desktop, you’ll:
-
Install the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client – our official VPN software.
-
Connect to your campus computer using Microsoft Remote Desktop – this lets you securely access your work computer as if you're sitting right at your desk.
💡 Helpful Tip: Your on-campus computer must be powered on and connected to the network for Remote Desktop to work.
